We designed Sketchy from the ground up to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains exactly what we do and do not collect.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
Short version: Sketchy never uploads your images or files to any server. All image processing happens locally in your browser. We do not have access to the images you convert.
Sketchy ("the Tool") is a web application operated by RuntimeZero ("we", "us", "our"), an independent developer publishing free tools at runtime-hub.com. You can find all our tools at runtime-hub.com.
When you use Sketchy to convert an image to SVG:
You can verify this by opening your browser's Network tab in Developer Tools before converting. You will observe zero outbound requests containing image data.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure collects standard server access logs when your browser requests the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files that make up Sketchy. These logs may include your IP address (anonymised), browser type, the page URL requested, date and time, and HTTP response code.
This data is used solely for infrastructure stability and abuse prevention. It is not used to profile individuals, and we do not combine it with any other data source.
Sketchy does not set any first-party cookies. We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to store any information about you between sessions.
Third-party advertising scripts may set their own cookies. You can control these through your browser settings.
Sketchy is funded by advertisements served through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history across sites. This is Google's own data processing, governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not receive or process any personal data from Google's advertising stack — only aggregated, anonymised revenue reports.
You can opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
We may use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate page views and usage patterns. These tools do not track individual users across sessions or sites and do not use fingerprinting techniques. We do not use any analytics tool that builds individual user profiles.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes. The only third parties involved in delivering Sketchy are the hosting infrastructure provider, the advertising network (see Section 5), and the font provider for our typography.
Sketchy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through our service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or port any personal data we hold about you, and to object to its processing. Since we collect minimal personal data, there is very little to act on. For any requests, contact us via the RuntimeHub website.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sketchy after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
For privacy-related questions or requests, please contact RuntimeZero via runtime-hub.com.
